Short-term Loans
Our Short-term Loan Products are among the most competitively priced loans in the market. They are secured using members’ shares, but we are flexible enough to consider alternative forms of loan security, including collateral and salary guarantees.
1. Jamii School Fees Loan
- Granted up to 3 times the member's total deposits.
- Maximum repayment period is 12 months.
- Interest rate of 1% per month or 12% per annum on reducing balance.
- Must be secured by guarantors and/or collateral.
2. Jamii Emergency Loan
- Granted up to 3 times the member's total deposits.
- Maximum repayment period is 24 months.
- Interest rate of 1% per month or 12% per annum on reducing balance.
- Must be secured by guarantors and/or collateral.
3. Jamii Instant Loan
- The loan is granted after a member joins the Sacco and the first deposits have been recovered and remitted.
- Maximum loan of Kshs. 300,000.
- Maximum repayment period of 20 months.
- 1/3 of the loan granted is to be transferred to deposits and Kshs. 20,000 creditted to the share capital account.
- Interest rate of 1.04% per month or 12.5% per annum on reducing balance.
- Ability is to be computed based on the 1/3 rule of the member's salary.
